I think the fact that Phepsi plays 6 and 8, means he would be a much better addition to the Springboks, than a player who plays one position, one dimensionally.

Roos can also play 6.

Roos and Augustus are the two best South African 8s by FAR. The Springboks need a big strong fast 8 who can carry powerfully and tackle well. Roos fits that description better than anyone else.

Roos has also won multiple URC awards since you love trophies so much.

Roos can also play 6.

He has 92% of his professional games at 8. 5% at openside, and 3% at blindside.

He is a specialist 8, and a one dimensional one at that.

Roos and Augustus

Augustus is injured. Augustus has 99% of games at 8, 1% at openside. You'd know this if you actually watched rugby.

Good thing we are talking about who should play at 8 then. I never said anything about Augustus playing 6. I just said that Roos can play there, I never said it was his specialist position.

When opposition fans see Roos, Augustus or Jasper Wiese at 8 they get scared. When they see any other South African 8 they don't really care. That says it all about who should be playing there.

I'm talking about who would be a good addition to the current Springbok squad. Who are currently suffering from a lack of talent at both 8 and 6.

When opposition fans see Roos... they get scared.

When the opposition sees Roos they know they have a player who will run at them constantly, act petulant and concede penalties.

Wiese was banned, and Augustus is injured. You'd know this if you watched rugby.

If you had any reading comprehension you would know that I am not saying Wiese and Augustus should play right now because they obviously can't. Roos, Wiese and Augustus are our 3 best options at 8. Roos is the only one of them who is available, so he should play.

Roos has won the URC and multiple URC awards. He is a key player at the Stormers. Phepsi has been nothing but mediocre, if he didn't play for the Sharks you wouldn't be arguing for him.

They can call up Renzo du Plessis/Nama Xaba at 6 and Roos at 8. They can call up multiple players.
