Discussion This may be an unpopular opinion, but I don't think Napoli should give up on Osimhen

Since they got KDB in Midfield/CAM, they'd greatly benefit from a younger, versatile striker like him. Osimhen even rejected an offer from Al Hilal a week ago and Man utd too recently according to reports. I don't think PL clubs like Arsenal nor Chelsea would be the right fit for him, then they'd reduce his value to just the number of goals he scores per season. Even reports say that Liverpool would want to replace Nuñez with Osimhen, and there's a good reason for that

But I think he shows more potential than just that. He needs a club where he can shine and I think Napoli is the best bet. Like if you've seen how Haaland played with KDB, KDB has a knack for playing different passes like long balls, short balls and throw in crosses in the opponents' box. Most of the time, KDB's passes reach Haaland without him having to move around (due to Pep's tactics) and all he has to do is shoot.

So the best part about KDB is that the defenders have a hard time predicting his next passes, so naturally that often creates spaces for the striker. From what I've seen, Osimhen has what it takes to finish chances created (his pace, strength and quickly reactive). He's kind of similar to Haaland as a striker, except he adds more power to his shots. But that's all you need to pair with KDB, I don't think Darwin Nuñez or Jadon Sancho would be as good.

Moreover, character wise, he seems like he is a sensitive guy with low tolerance for disrespect. In that sense, he reminds me a lot of KDB. But if Napoli can show him somehow that they'd treat him more respectfully if he decides to come back, I genuinely think he could reconsider moving back to Napoli, he seems like a great guy and has a good mentality, even if its a bit unconventional. He just showed a bit of sensitivity to the way he got treated by the Napoli management, I think it's important that people don't misunderstand it and make a judgement based on that or "hate" him. He's not the type of guy to forget the 4 seasons he played for Napoli, if he was that kind of guy, he wouldn't be as reactive as he was.

Even him turning down Man Utd and Al Hilal, it could point to him wanting to join Napoli regardless of what happened before. And anyway, those clubs pay a lot, so if he can reject them, that means salary wasn't the main concern for him in the first place. Perhaps the salary negotiation fail with him was just a justification of why he wanted to leave, not the real reason (just speculation). I mean it's not easy to admit the real reason anyway. So what I'm saying is ultimately it's better to look past what happened before even if that's not easy, because the focus of Napoli should be to achieve more playing in the champions league and the serie A. If Napoli truly wants to win, they have to act faster and prioritize what matters most. No need for Kvara 2.0

Discussion Do you support other Italian teams in International competitions?

My grandpa will support any Italian team that’s in the Champions league after we get eliminated.

For example, he supported Juve in the 2015 and 2017 finals, which I honestly couldn’t understand. His logic is Italian pride and that we should support our fellow Italian teams in Europe.

I can see this logic, but I honestly cannot picture myself supporting teams such as Juve, Inter or Lazio. The ultras of the first two are openly racist to southerners and chant that Vesuvio explodes, whilst the third are literal Nazi’s.

I don’t feel a patriotic need to support a team that I already don’t support, the national team takes that role. I’m perfectly capable of putting those difference aside, because the players represent the Italian country. A team like Juventus doesn’t do that when in European competition.

Discussion Anyone else concerned with our current attack?

I think we've had a great transfer window, but I can't lie I am concerned about our attack. I'll include Kvara in this because we still haven't really replaced him, but we've lost: Simeone, Raspa, Ngonge, & Kvara, replaced them with so far: Lucca & Lang. I'm not being funny but have we upgraded our options? I don't think so. Lucca is probably a better option that Simeone but thats it.

I still feel like we lacked a certain firepower/ x-factor in the forward area. Obviously De bruyne can contribute to that heavily, but I do feel like we need a young attacker who would be ready for the first team but also bring potential.

My perfect option IMO would be Malick Fofana at Lyon, young and available for 30m Euros apparently.

Discussion Raspadori need to stay unless...

Am I the only one who wouldn't sell Raspadori unless he wanted to?

He's an indispensable player for any top-level team, always ready to step in and change the game. He allows you to play in multiple formations, and he's (at least personally) the best replacement for McTominay.

Only sell if you're sure of a top-quality winger and a good 6 midfielder under 21.

Discussion Conte's requests are precise: a great player for each department with 8-9 new signings in total, team payroll increase from €80m to €100-110m, and a transfer budget of at least €200m. These will be the key points in the face-to-face meeting with ADL scheduled immediately after the final game.

Discussion Kvara's Legacy

I wore my Kvara kit yesterday for the first time since he left us. I guess we could say that everybody won in the end: He got his CL, and we got the scudetto. This was the first time I watched a live game with him playing since he left, and I will admit that it still hurts a little to see him in another kit, especially because of the way he left us.

I don't know if he is officially getting a winner's medal, but should Kvara be considered a 2-time champion with Napoli? What do you guys think?

Also, as a side note, any chance the Partenope will come back into production since we won the title?

Discussion Kvara to PSG looking more likely now

I’m pissed. I don’t understand why he’d wanna leave. Why go from a club that loves you in a location where the weather is beautiful with loving fans, to a shithole city like Paris where the fans will go from chanting your name to pure hatred just like that?

I’m just so shocked of this news and how much closer it’s getting. I knew he’d leave eventually but not like this.

Discussion Conte departing?

How is it that after both times we’ve recently won the scudetto we will lose our manager?

I know ADL is not the easiest owner to work with in terms of finances, can be stubborn and not the most friendly person overall. but it seems like he’s willing to invest in players this transfer window based on his interviews. And it seems like he’s given conte a lot of praise recently.

Is it the temptation of joining Juve? Conte is a fan of juve and a legend there.

Him and Spaletti both mentioned the stress of coaching Napoli due to the expectations and passion of the fans.

I know this isn’t the exact same situation as Spaletti, but losing both mangers after winning the scudetto is unheard of.
