I will not promote Starting a side hustle in tech- I will not promote

Hi all, I’ve been thinking starting a business as a side hustle for a while now, and I’ve been working on the idea for a year and a half.

The startup is in technology and plasma engineering, so doing it at home is not an option.

Currently, I need a relatively small space, but I’m thinking that if it works out, I may need to build a larger structure in the future. My budget is limited, so I’m not sure what the best approach is.

I’m also not sure how I would take until I have done something sensible.

What is your advice please.

Thanks in advance.

Neutron source development for cancer research. Although I will be working with hydrogen as it needs bioshield. Thanks

Do you have peer reviewed research on your method? Idk much about neutron stuff since I deal with slightly larger-scale stuff (101 - 103 AMU) but I'd imagine compactness is a significant factor

I have been developing these stuff for around ten years now first author https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.35848/1347-4065/ad9f00/meta . I think I have a method to increase flux much higher than current sources in a compact setup. The idea is not published tho

What type of companies are your customers? Who are your competitors? I'd consider filling for a provisional patent before doing anything fwiw

Hospitals, UKAEA, industries. The application beside bnct and isotope production is wide given the neutron flux is sufficient. I’d be tempted to make one before filling for one, then do the patent for investment purposes in later stages
