Name / URL: Picket

Location of Your Headquarters: Orlando, Florida

Elevator Pitch: Home search app for millennials. Zillow had a baby with Tinder. Users will swipe left on houses they don't like and not see them again, up on houses they are unsure of, and right on houses they love. Easily share with friends, family, and realtors.

What life cycle stage is your startup at? Launching in beta soon. About 95% done with development.

Your role? CEO

What goals are you trying to reach this month? Launch in beta and launch for real end of month.

Discount for r/startup subscribers? The app is free and will on both iOS and Android.

Is this solving a real problem? I can tell you as a real estate agent, this does not seem like it actually solves the problem as pictures alone do not show how good a property is.

There are other issues in the real estate industry that I think should be more deeply looked at, but you may have gotten great feedback. If no feedback, feel free to ping me and we can discuss in more detail off line.

You could make the argument that nothing should be changed as long as it does the job. We're going to make it better, we have had good feedback so far and this is the first step on our way to making the entire home searching process better.

This is a feature not a product. If you get traction, Zillow could spend a month and have the feature ready to go. I would not invest in this.
