Oil problem Ms 261c

Hi guys, So I recently had an MS261C in for service. I changed what I needed to change, membranes, spark plug and all the stuff…

And when I restarted the machine, I noticed that the oil was no longer coming out of the guide.

I then did everything : cleaning the oil tank, changing the oil pump (it was no longer pumping), cleaning the oil pipe to the guide, cleaning the tank-pump pipe, putting new guide on and even a new chain... But nothing to do, the oil is not coming out... The pump has been tested (unplugged) 3 times (it is new and works perfectly) and the pipes are unclogged, the pump adjustment screw is set to "max opening".

So here I am, asking for a little help because I am completely stuck there…

Turn off engine. Remove bar. Turn the saw on its side, bar mounts facing up. Manually place a small quantity of oil into the oil outlet port. Spin the sprocket by hand.

If the pump is working you should see the oil move slightly, if you see nothing you still have a problem with the pump and/or lines.

I’ll try that tomorrow!

Generally speaking if you take the entire oiling system apart and replace everything it can take 30-45 seconds of running the saw to get oil back through the pickup body, supply line, oil pump, sealing ring to the case and the oil outlet to the bar.

Try a new bar see if it oils then.

Sometimes the ports on bar are clogged and oil does not flow

Take it to a shop that knows what they are doing. You have no idea what you are doing and your post and comments show that very well. You are doing more harm than good.
