Dude, the fact that you're asking such a basic question around FX derivatives clearly shows that you don't know what you're doing and should definitely not be fucking around with them.

Especially when your post contains a bunch of surface-level, qualitative bullet points and nothing about balance of trade, yield on Turkish national debt, and abso-fucking-lutely nothing on their national treasury or central banking system.

You probably started trading between now and March 2020, did fairly well making stock picks off of your own intuition, and thought to yourself "hey, I'm naturally pretty good at this" - the thing here is anybody could have dumped money into equities in the LTM and made out like a bandit - the S&P returned ~25% since then.

And FX derivates fuck even the most professional ones this is a truly dangerous zone

Using swaps and such for hedging is relatively simple. But using them to ‘speculate’ is a mugs game, especially if it’s with your own money. Remember most of those doing it successfully are doing so with OPM.
