Yeah, I’ll be real, there’s so much actual harm going on in the world, that I don’t give a fuck about “thought crimes”

So long as this person never actually hurts or inconveniences a real life person, they can do whatever the fuck they want.

Context would be too much to ask would it? Seems you u/Dounce1 have taken umbrage about something but 2. is actually doing a better job of explaining a nuanced point of view than whatever your version of ‘post it, mic drop!’ thing you think you are doing. 😆🤔

I always assumed that current passive fans of fictional shit will grow senile later in life and will become active fans of the real thing. It just doesn't look good for you in the long run, like porn, or drugs, or fags, or sedentary lifestyle, or...

I understand this idea, but it somehow reminds me of the discussion about “shooter games turning people into murderers”...

Anyway. I can only speak for myself, so this is “anecdotal evidence.” Back then, I played shooter games excessively, watched porn every day, and read some really fucked-up doujinshis... and now, 20 years later, i'm in my mid-thirties, have a good job, a stable life, and no weird thoughts in my head.
