My original Autism Alice was good but I realized with Milsim West coming to my city finally that now would be a good time to make sure I actually don’t want to kill myself while wearing it for 40 hours.
(1st pic = pic 1, 2nd = pic 2, etc.)
Pic 1. Basic layout is the same with some QOL upgrades for starters I got Tactical Tailor Universal mag pouches to make it easier to reindex mags for faster reloads, padding by swapping from the FLC belt to the USMC Sub belt and adding a sternum strap to the modded TAPS harness to help prevent shifting.
Pic 2. Starting off from the left side of the belt you’ve got 3 of my $ mags total, followed by 1 of 2 TQs then 1 of 2 Nalgene pouches, the one in my left has a lighter with ~5 yards of duct tape and some flameless ration heater (mainly for the magnesium) and my repair buckle/strap kit for repairs
Pic 3. Admin pouch and Compass, the admin has the “boo boo” bag, city map, black/red/grease pen combo, a whistle, folding knife, F rod, head lamp, and multi tool. (Obviously I’d be wearing the watch)
Pic 4. Sawyer mini, state map, neck gator, paracord, and a spare pair of glass because I’m blind. (in the butt pack I also typically keep a field stripped MRE and a rain/wind top but had been recently using both so they weren’t in the pic)
Pic 5. IFAK (2 gloves, pair of chest seals, 2 quick clot gauze, Mylar blanket, roll of med tape, 4” bandage, and a nasopharyngeal with some lube. Next to that is HSGI med pouch that I use for radio and shears.
Pic 6. Other Nalgene pouch, 2nd liter bottle, this one has water purification tabs and spare batteries. It’s hard to see but attached to this Nalgene pouch is the antenna for the radio and a Mora kniv.
Pic 7. Better view of the Mora, 2nd TQ, 2 set of 3 mags.
Pic 8. Is for anyone who is having problems with sagging of mag pouches up front. I got some nylon MOLLE straps in place of the hard plastic malice straps and got swift clip to attach the harness straight to the mag pouch eliminating sagging, total life changer!
Pic 9. Another look at how I mounted the modded TAPS harness to the Sub Belt, added shoulder pads, the sternum strap, ranger beads, attached my shoulder PTT.
Hope this helps inspire anyone in building out their kit! This has been my loving passion project for about a year now, my next edit is gonna be finding a better buttpack as it’s a tight squeeze with everything in it currently and it doesn’t fully seat around every thing stored in it.
