Help with battle belt

I'm looking for a belt for work. I did some research and they recommended Blue Alpha Gear. I'd like to know which models they recommend and the differences between the battle belt and duty belt, and which models you recommend. I edited my question now. I carry a holster, handcuffs, pistol magazine holders, and an IFak on my belt. I really need a belt with the Molle system. What other belt models do you recommend?

Where can a brother get affordable 3A soft armor

Yo. I've been thinking about getting some BALC cut 3A soft armor panels, but everywhere I look they're like $300 per panel. You folks got any recommendations for affordable but reputable sellers? I wouldn't mind buying lightly used panels either, but I can't find much on Ebay. Preferably I'd like to spend maybe $150 per panel.

Part 2 / Follow-Up: Striker Foot & Safety Concern on the P365

Post image
24 Upvotes

Following up on my last post — I want to expand on why this is such a big deal for P365 owners. I came across this comment and felt it was important to share here to bring more attention to it, just in case.

If the striker foot shears off, the P365 will fire uncommanded. Unlike Glock and other designs that machine the striker safety into the body, SIG chose to put the safety catch point right on the edge of the striker foot. That means if the striker foot fails, there’s nothing stopping the striker from moving forward and setting off a round.

My roommate (m30) had this gifted to him by a family member, he's not into guns whatsoever and has it on a nerf gun lol. I told him those kinds of sights are worth hundreds. After looking at some pictures online with Google lens, I see that the cutouts for the up/down adjustment are never oval and that they are circular which makes me think it's a clone or something. What do you think? (Also it says "f" on the other side but no other writing whatsoever, and looks like it takes a c123 battery)

I always see people saying visible lasers are only useful for the niche of shield users, so okay, what if you DO have a shield? Or will this get me kilt in da streetz.

Yes that is a fin grip, yes I am aware of how stupid california gun laws are.

Gear/Equipment Behold, Autism Alice 3.0

My original Autism Alice was good but I realized with Milsim West coming to my city finally that now would be a good time to make sure I actually don’t want to kill myself while wearing it for 40 hours.

(1st pic = pic 1, 2nd = pic 2, etc.)

Pic 1. Basic layout is the same with some QOL upgrades for starters I got Tactical Tailor Universal mag pouches to make it easier to reindex mags for faster reloads, padding by swapping from the FLC belt to the USMC Sub belt and adding a sternum strap to the modded TAPS harness to help prevent shifting.

Pic 2. Starting off from the left side of the belt you’ve got 3 of my $ mags total, followed by 1 of 2 TQs then 1 of 2 Nalgene pouches, the one in my left has a lighter with ~5 yards of duct tape and some flameless ration heater (mainly for the magnesium) and my repair buckle/strap kit for repairs

Pic 3. Admin pouch and Compass, the admin has the “boo boo” bag, city map, black/red/grease pen combo, a whistle, folding knife, F rod, head lamp, and multi tool. (Obviously I’d be wearing the watch)

Pic 4. Sawyer mini, state map, neck gator, paracord, and a spare pair of glass because I’m blind. (in the butt pack I also typically keep a field stripped MRE and a rain/wind top but had been recently using both so they weren’t in the pic)

Pic 5. IFAK (2 gloves, pair of chest seals, 2 quick clot gauze, Mylar blanket, roll of med tape, 4” bandage, and a nasopharyngeal with some lube. Next to that is HSGI med pouch that I use for radio and shears.

Pic 6. Other Nalgene pouch, 2nd liter bottle, this one has water purification tabs and spare batteries. It’s hard to see but attached to this Nalgene pouch is the antenna for the radio and a Mora kniv.

Pic 7. Better view of the Mora, 2nd TQ, 2 set of 3 mags.

Pic 8. Is for anyone who is having problems with sagging of mag pouches up front. I got some nylon MOLLE straps in place of the hard plastic malice straps and got swift clip to attach the harness straight to the mag pouch eliminating sagging, total life changer!

Pic 9. Another look at how I mounted the modded TAPS harness to the Sub Belt, added shoulder pads, the sternum strap, ranger beads, attached my shoulder PTT.

Hope this helps inspire anyone in building out their kit! This has been my loving passion project for about a year now, my next edit is gonna be finding a better buttpack as it’s a tight squeeze with everything in it currently and it doesn’t fully seat around every thing stored in it.

I’m so tired of seeing people ask what else do they need. So I’ll give you a basic packing list that applies across the board. These are the baseline items you need to have in or on your second line be proficient in to be able to navigate, coordinate and survive. I will provide links to some items as well.

Rifle mags minimum 7 + 1

Question Walker Gel cups?

Post image
13 Upvotes

Hey everyone so I’ve been searching for gel cups after using these for the first time in an actual tactical environment the heat set in quickly, the ear fatigue wasn’t terrible but I’ve heard gel cups are superior to standard cups and with the weight of the walkie talkie attachment I figured they’d help. Any suggestions?

P.S. the walkie talkie attachment is the shit for close quarters squad radio management, one side fireteam, once side command with earpiece worked pretty well. The only downside is when people are talkie that active hearing cuts out only trade-off for an affordable dual comms set up.

Recommendations $50 a good deal?

Been building out a go-kit and looking for a good backpack, but haven’t gotten to researching yet. Offered a guy on marketplace $50 for this, new, and he accepted. Good deal? Anyone have it and know if it’s durable and strong enough to even bother with? Totally open to alternatives if there are CQ issues with this one.

Will neck, deltoid and groin armor be more widespread in the future due to Ukraine?

I've seen enough footage of guys packing on as much armor as they can. I understand why, it makes sense. But I have to wonder, is this going to be the future of things? And if so, what kind of evolutions to armor do you think we'll see as a result?

Question Can I fit the following in a Pelican 1630?

Was originally thinking about a 1650, but based on people's pics, I'm wondering if that's enough space for the following:

  • a loaded medium PC, preferably two
  • a helmet, preferably two
  • a loaded battle belt
  • boots
  • two ARs (separated is fine)
  • 30 cal ammo can
  • nods
  • Avon c50
  • room leftover for miscellany

Gatorz vs Oakley SI vs Outlaw Eyewear…

I’m having a hell of a time picking out a pair of glasses because I’m stuck with needing prescription lenses. Unless I go pirate, I’d end up sending a pair of Gatorz to Outlaw either way, so the question I then have is which brand I should go with and just leave it at that.

Oakley SI has several things I like. Shocktube’s one that stands out pretty well. Gatorz is going to be cheaper, even after getting aftermarket lenses. Outlaw has their own line but they’re less well known and expensive to boot.

Alternatively, what’s going to be the easiest way to just order some polarized prescription sunglasses rated for ANSI? I don’t want to get screwed by the local eye care places, I’m not doing that again.
