As a Georgian, I envy Norway. Classic case of grass looking greener on the other side.

Norway and Georgia have only one thing in common - mountain landscape. And waterfalls, but that is two things already. And the sea, but the seas are totally different.
Georgia looks like warm and cozy Norway.

There are quite a few countries with mountains and waterfalls, but all the other ones I know have "tamed" many of their mountains, making them accessible to mass tourism, by building railways and cable cars with restaurants at the top for example.
Norway and Georgia on the other hand have plenty of wild mountain landscapes, to be enjoyed only by more serious hikers.
These are generalisations of course, but I still think there is a very different mountain vibe between those sets of countries.
In other ways though, Georgia and Norway have hugely different cultures

warm only when it comes to foreigners. You gotta see how we treat each other

I'm a foreigner staying in Tbilisi for 4 months so far and warmth is not what I'd call it. I lived in Thailand for 5 years before this, though, famously called the land of smiles.

Every person has different values. We aren't rich from the material side, but most of the people are welcoming. Our country isn't as developed as we want, but yes we got rich culture.

I'll get downvoted to hell but I always find it so funny when people say we're very welcoming and pat themselves on the back at the supra about how kind we are.
We are the lowest in europe when it comes to welcoming any marginalised community, Women, LGBTQ+, different Religions, etc.
We are only welcoming to well off white men, the bar is very low.

I’m a black man and I’ve been treated so kindly, a kindness I’ve never experienced before, when I visited Tbilisi. Idk what you mean by well off white men, I think you’re just trying to insult your people by saying that. Why the hate?

I'm very glad you had a nice time but the issue is larger than just your single experience. Here are some sources to get you started on your research:

A very rich and HEALTHY culture, I find, on many aspects which I think are important.

The average monthly salary in Norway is around 59,370 NOK (about $5,538 USD) before tax as of 2025
he average monthly salary in the country of Georgia was approximately 2,045 Georgian Lari (GEL) in Q4 2023, which was about $727 USD (pretty sure that's inflated)
You sure about envy?

I really wonder about these people who writes this. Are they totally ignorant of their surroundings? Do they visit Tbilisi for a week and don't interact with anyone?
I love Georgia and Georgians, but are they generally warm and welcoming? No. It's their right. But don't get all delulu about it

Lot of Georgians envy your country. At least the management part.
