If YouTube wiped out 99% of it's channels, I probably wouldn't even notice.

Indeed. I am subscribed to 15 channels in total. All of them content creators that do not rely on shock editing, AI slop, or false advertising. If all of the low effort BS on YouTube disappeared this moment, I would not notice at all because I don't watch it in the first place.

Any recommendations? I mostly watch Neebs gaming and internet historian

I am a boring old fart, so the channels I am subscribed to may not be of any interest to you. Clickspring, Techmoan, HardwareUnboxed, TechIngredients and other such channels.

I bet Technology Connections is right up your alley.

You would, if they had to pick 1% of their channels it would probably be Cocomelon and the other >100M subscriber ones.

Yea that would be true of most people. Theres well over 100 million channels, the overwhelming majority likely with less than 100 regular viewers.

alot of the pro Palestinian supporters would notice, since most of the content is pushed by Iran.

it was super interesting when Iran locked down their internet during the Israel attack, and a bunch of channels and subreddits went quiet for a couple days.
