So, private companies be warned; if your Dear Leader doesn’t like you, he can shut you down. So much freedom, eh?

The action itself is illegal but Trump has realized you can just do things. If it costs tens of millions in legal fees and years of delay in court to prevail then that will ruin the economics of almost all renewable energy projects. This isn't a one off either, he's even gone so far as to instruct the FAA to scrutinize proposed wind farms on private land due height (previously a routine matter of informing the FAA so they can make where the wind turbines are).

I’m very interested in the demographics that build these things. Generally contracted constructions and trades have been pretty blue collar, I worked in manufacturing for almost a decade and yeah the cognitive dissonance of union-benefit enjoyers voting for the party that wants their unions completely dissolved and their wages slashed…. Yeah I just can’t help but wonder how many trump voters are getting their work slashed here. Wouldn’t be a surprisingly new phenomenon at all, farmers all over keep shooting themselves in the face with their vote. But I do enjoy watching leopards consume faces as a lil treat in these trying times

It’s also going to take up to six years or longer to get natural gas generators built to address the country’s energy needs. Regardless of anyone’s political views or opinions on climate change, it seems silly to find stop construction of generators that can help supply the grid…
