Where does Phil get off asking Silvio about his daughter?
At the funeral. What could possibly have gotten into Phil to ask such an inappropriate question?

Asking about the daughter proves: 1) Phil remembers Sil has a kid, and 2) it's a girl. It's polite. The central fiction to our thing is that these guys are all close personal friends who just happen to commit felonies together.
Also, parents love being asked about their kids and are flattered when someone they are not so close to remembers their kids.

You’re so high on skag all the time Phil could be wearing your muddah’s muff on his head and you wouldn’t notice.

Because he wanted to know how she was and he cares about others… you always assume the worst in people

After doing 20 years in the can, Phil just wants to feel normal again. Unfortunately, a series of events set in motion by Johnny Sack whacking Lorraine caused Phil to step ever closer to the big chair.

I wonder what the point of this line even was. It's not like Sil and Phil have any story or history or anything. Was it just meant to be a funny awkward moment? Idk. Sil was kind of a dick.

He wanted to ask him about his wife, but he compromised.
