Question about the 5 pin
So I just bought myself a ti99/4a and dont think I have anything that would use the old video modulator. I have access to rf, av, and hdmi and wanted to know if theres anything I can pick up to make those work for my system.

Have you got digital component as part of AV? Thats the best cable. If not you can always get a scaler then use hdmi. I use the odv gbs c. Get a nice sharp signal

An old C64 A/V cable with RCA jacks for composite video and mono audio is a direct plug and play.

Don't sweat the preorder label. He tends to make things on demand. You could also find something similar on Amazon, but it may have the RF modulator power on one of the RCA jacks, which you don't want to plug in to your tv's av input. No problem if you have a voltmeter.
