TechSupport cf-33 space-bar messing with my life

.......the space bar on my Mk1 CF-33 sometimes works and sometimes does not - i guess it is a hardware issue because if i press super carefully and check the screen to see if it has performed then it sometimes performs - is this a common fault? is there a fix? ....and what would be the US qwerty replacement part to stop me going knuts?

You may have a piece of trash under the spacebar preventing at times to use it. Get a can of compressed air try carefully blow out underneath it. The next step would be replace the keyboard 😊

Easy enough to swap out. Check eBay. You can get a standard keyboard, the illuminated keyboard, of the rubberized keyboard (not recommended unless you will be using it outside in the rain).

Is it worn out or is it just dirt or a piece of debris stuck somewhere?

spare keyboards seem to be a bit pricey
