assuming those batch numbers include the month & year, that means this issue has been going on since october 2024 (that they know of).

Thanks for posting this, climbed in the gunks with my buddy yesterday and he placed two of his new locking quick-draws, I told him to check and they are part of the recall!

Camp has some great gear but their locking biners feel terrible and flimsy

I keep waiting for Trango to do one for the wire gates that don’t close at all but it never comes

Photons? So bad. Only piece of gear I've ever had to lubricate to get them to work properly/not kill me.

Photons are CAMP, not Trango. Maybe you mean Trango Phase? (I’ve never had issues with those biners, to be clear)

Oh I didn’t even notice the OP mentioned Trango. Yeah, no clue what he means. Jumped to conclusions because the photons are so bad and I assumed he was mentioning them due to the commonality with the recall.

I have found myself needing to lubricate some of my nano 22s as well, but I love them and I feel like checking the action on your biners is pretty standard maintenance for heavily used gear.

Year they’re fucked up

Why do people choose locking biners over double or triple action ones? I hate twist to lock. But am I missing some intrinsic safety factor that locking biners have over others?

I discussed this with someone. They got used to it, and said it made sure they didn't use a non locking one by mistake. I disagree since I'm more prone to forgetting to twist, than mistaking my biner but to each their own. They also said it was easier for them to undo a locking biner with one hand, but since my hands are bigger I can do that with the automatic ones no problem
