Just a heads up reminder the UK Government is testing the Emergency Alert system today at 3pm. If you’re in a situation where you have a secret phone, for whatever reason, and you need it to stay secret, here’s how you can turn the emergency alarm off. 1. Go into your settings, and go into the notification area 2. Scroll all the way to the bottom, and there should be a section for emergency alerts 3. Flick those two little buttons so that they’re not green

Why and how would someone have a secret phone (with a mobile plan)? - Geniune question

Victims of domestic abuse with a second phone to help them escape their situation, or have it ready for when they do escape. People who have their phone monitored by family for any reason may have a second phone kept secret that can’t be monitored by their family etc. There’s a lot of reasons someone may have a second phone, and a lot of times if this second phone is revealed it could be detrimental for them, unfortunately :(

I mean more like, how do payments not get noticed? It sounds like they’d have to be done with cash only but phone plans are far too expensive to pay with cash, like how do you pay 30€+ phone bills without looking weird for somehow not having 30 anymore every month
