Discussion (Not serious) Transgenders in the workforce
As a trans dude living the farm life, I’ve always felt like there’s almost no rep for the blue collar transgenders! I love all my siblings working in tech and all that, but I know there’s more of use out here in the fields too! Pls tell me I’m not alone lmfao.

Discussion (Not serious) what’s your favorite “ladies, gentlemen, [third option]” greeting?
i’ve seen so many over the years, some are fun and some are cringe, but i do like seeing how people try to extend their greetings beyond the binary
some of my favorites include the classic “guys, gals, and nonbinary pals”, “ladies, gentlemen, and those in between”, and i recently started watching a youtuber who says “laddies, lassies, and lassos” which i think is fun
honorable mentions include “gaydies and lentlemen” and“theydies and gentlethems” since they only have two terms but they’re silly with it
what are some of yours?

Discussion (Not serious) What’s the stupidest thing a transphobe has ever said to you?
What is the dumbest, most nonsensical thing a transphobe has ever said to you? Doesn’t have to be you directly, just something you’ve seen/heard that was so unfathomably ignorant and disconnected from reality you had to take a step back to even process what they said.

Discussion (Not serious) I KNEW I WASNT CRAZY THINKING TRANS MEN ARE BEING TREATED UNFAIRLY
I’ve spent the last several months being so confused on how I felt. I’m so glad people are realizing the rampant misandry and general distain some of our community has for trans men.

Discussion (Not serious) Share some positivity here! :3
I'm sure many of us are having a difficult time right now, but I wanted to help a bit by having a place for everyone to share some trans joy! Sometimes people focus on the negatives so much that we forget about the good side of things. Whether it's a big news story or a small personal euphoria moment, or even something not related to being trans at all that still made you smile, we'd love to hear it (As long as you want to share, of course)!
Here's your reminder that you are valid, you are loved and cared for, and as my favorite teacher once said... This world was ALWAYS meant to have you in it!!
One of our most powerful forms of resistance is celebrating our victories, so let's annoy the haters by doing just that!

Discussion (Not serious) If you wanna talk real “men’s rights issues”, can we talk about how WRETCHED the men’s bathrooms are
…and I DON’T mean cleanliness-wise, either. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been in some foul men’s bathrooms.
But as a trans man who A) has an extensive history of using the women’s and B) has to clean the unisex customer toilets in my workplace, never underestimate the ability/willingness of cis women to piss all over the seat and floor, wipe menstrual blood over the walls, or leave tampons anywhere but in the sanitary bins. I once found a pregnancy test in the condiment unit bins in spite of the fact, again, we have dedicated bins for sanitary and medical waste in the bathrooms.
Being a disgusting enemy of society is not a gendered problem, it’s a personal problem.
Anyway, the men’s bathrooms are just structurally designed to make you suffer. Urinals are a scourge on our society, and I’ll bet cis men don’t even realise it. Bathroom designers think “oh, men can just piss in the urinals” so they’ll cheap out and give men the tiniest, most cramped bathroom they can get away with, and at worst you’ll have one single cubicle for the entire male visitorship of your shop/theatre/offices/whathave you.
…Leading to situations like today where I’m on the clock at work, and my bathroom break took almost 20 minutes because there is ONE (1) cubicle in the men’s room and the dude in there is clearly fighting for his life. I was beginning to wonder if the cubicle was even in use and the staff had locked it and not put up a sign, until I heard the paper holder rattle on and off for several minutes, with what sounded like a bunch of aggressive wiping going on.
When you’re a non-op trans guy whose anatomy won’t allow you to use an STP (though I needed the cubicle for other reasons, also), and you’re a guy who still only passes maybe 75-90% of the time depending on the day…it is SCARY to be standing around outside the only cubicle while cis men come and go for the urinals or else (god forbid) start queuing behind you. Only one person has ever been shitty to me in the men’s in my six year history of using them, but boy howdy is the fear that today might be the day some geezer tries to start shit really real.
But I’m conviced urinal culture is royally screwing cis men, too. This here is for the nervous pissers, the dudes with IBS (holler!!!!), the guys who could benefit mentally from just 2 minutes on their ass in private to scroll their phone and take a mini-breather. Did anyone ever write an essay linking urinals as a weapon of our capitalist society to get people back behind their desks as quickly as humanly possible, because I think someone should write that.
On a much more irksome note, try being on a night out and there are no locks/no doors on the cubicles at the pub or club. I don’t care if dudes are fucking or doing drugs in the toilets, privacy in the loos should be an expectation for people whoever they are and whatever they’re packing.
(Nobody take this post or its title too seriously, please. …Well, except my final point that cis men deserve the right to privacy as much as anybody else, I strongly stand behind that).

Discussion (Not serious) What is the most ridiculous reason(s) someone has used to explain why you are trans
I'm transfem, two most ridiculous I got has to be:
1 That I think being a man is inferior because I grew up in a female dominant household (Mom is the breadwinner). Um no, I never thought this way
2 That I believe being a woman will make me more sociable. I mean yes it would, but not for the reasons they think

Discussion (Not serious) What's your favorite video game? (+cat tax)
Almost every person I've ever met in the community likes to play at least one video game lol. My partner got me into WoW Classic, and now I have multiple characters and am obsessed with it. So, what's your favorite video game?
Also, meet Sesame! She's our youngest cat (out of two) and is currently passed tf out in my partners chair while they're gone. She follows me everywhere, it's so cute :')

Discussion (Not serious) I don’t really understand why the blähaj (I may have gotten the accents wrong) is the symbol for trans people
I’m just curious. I feel like having our community represented by the product of a megacorporation is a strange dichotomy for the rest of what we tend to stand for. If you really like the plush and are happy with it representing you, more power to you, I’m just wondering if there’s some lore or something I’m missing behind why we rally so hard for the blähaj, and by extension, IKEA. Any insight/opinions on this are welcome, but I’m hoping not to cause any severe fighting, so if that happens, I’m sorry :(

Discussion (Not serious) The assumption of “male strength”
It’s so hilarious when people act like men are significantly stronger than women in all cases. I don’t fully pass as a trans woman yet in all cases. And there have been a couple times that people will come up to me asking me to lift something, someone even calling me a “strong man”
When I don’t pass, I look like a femboy at best. There’s nothing “strong man” about me even when I don’t pass
To add to the comedy, one time, I had to ask for help from a female co worker who probably struggled less than me when we lifted it together despite the customer seeming to have more faith in me than her. Today, I lifted it with a male co worker. He put in no effort when I had all signs of strain on my face and everything
It just shows to me that gender expectations and all go entirely against logic

Discussion (Not serious) Transfem w/ Kosmemophobia
I'm a trans girl with Kosmemophobia; the phobia of jewelery. For my own sake, I will abbreviate this to just 'j'.
While I don't mean this in a judgmental way at all, I've noticed a lot of the queer community likes to wear j, a lot. I am just curious to know, are there any queer/trans people like me who share this phobia? Sometimes it feels somewhat isolating.
Thanks.

Discussion (Not serious) Nb people, which option do you choose in a video game if there are only binary options?
Interested to see what you say on this, I like Stardew Valley a lot and I always choose the male option because I’m a boy but I’m wondering what my nb neighbors choose?
