was sind so eure Erfahrungen mit dem Warten auf die Abschlussdokumente (BA-Zeugnis/MA-Zeugnis).

Ich warte seit einer gefühlten Ewigkeit auf meine MA-Dokumente... sind mehrere Monate normal? Mein BA-Zeugnis an der HU habe ich innerhalb weniger Wochen bekommen. Werde langsam echt ungeduldig (und ja, habe schon mehrmals beim Prüfungsamt nachgefragt) :-/

Hey, is anybody here studying this Bachelor? I am a bit confused about how thing are going for this specific major. Is it very overwhelming because I saw in the syllabus it contains lots of theoretical Mathematic topics and so on. Also could I be able to do the same jobs as VWL/BWL graduates?

Does anyone have an idea about my chances of getting a seat? I’m currently in waitlist position 2 at TU Berlin Studienkolleg. I have already emailed them to ask for my result and to show my interest in studying there, but I’m really worried. Is there anything else I can do, or should I stay hopeful?

Kurze Frage.

Ich habe für Elektrotechnik Zusagen von mehreren Unis bekommen:TUM, Aachen, Berlin, Karlsruhe und FAU Erlangen. Ich lebe seit einem Jahr in Erlangen, daher würde ich eigentlich lieber hierbleiben, aber ich mache mir Gedanken über die späteren Jobchancen.

Was ich bisher gehört habe: In Deutschland soll es nicht so wichtig sein, wo man studiert, solange die Noten gut sind und man solide Praxiserfahrung sammelt. Zum Beispiel wäre ein Einstieg bei Siemens in Erlangen vermutlich ein ziemlich guter erster Schritt. Allerdings habe ich das bisher nur von Leuten hier vor Ort gehört. könnte also auch eine etwas einseitige Sicht sein.

International gesehen: Zählt der Uni-Name (TUM, RWTH Aachen, etc.) stärker bei der jobsuche? Oder sind Berufserfahrung bzw. Noten immer noch wichtiger?

Und noch eine Frage: Würde es Sinn machen, den Bachelor in Erlangen zu machen und dann für den Master an eine „größere“ Uni wie TUM oder Aachen zu wechseln? Oder denke ich da schon zu viel nach?

I got accepted for EE at several unis: Aachen, TUM, Berlin, Karlsruhe, and FAU Erlangen. I've been living in Erlangen for a year, so I'd rather stay here, but I'm worried about future job prospects.

From what I've heard, in Germany it doesn't matter much where you study, as long as your grades are good and you get solid work experience. For example, starting at Siemens in Erlangen sounds like a pretty strong first step. All people ive asked were here though, so might be biased.

internationally, does the university name (TUM, RWTH Aachen, etc.) matter more when job searching? Or is job experience or grades still the main thing?

Also, would it make sense to do my Bachelor in Erlangen and then switch to "bigger name" uni like TUM or Aachen for my Master's, or is that overthinking it?.

• A* = 1.0
• A = 1.6
• B = 2.2
• C = 2.8
• D = 3.4
• E = 4.0

I have a 1.9 if I count my four A levels and a 1.8 if I count my 3 A levels.
Please let me know if I also qualify for other engineering majors.

Hey, habe irgendwie gerade Panik, habe eine Willkommens Email der TU bekommen, obwohl ich mich nach einem Semester im WS 24/25 exmatrikuliert hatte, und dann auch an einer anderen Universität in Deutschland für ein Semester einen anderen Studiengang studiert habe. Jetzt bin ich aber lost und habe Angst dass doch irgendetwas nicht geklappt hat rückwirkend, aber ich hatte damals sogar den Exmatrikulations Bescheid, bei Hochschulstart eingereicht? Und ich konnte ja auch wo anders studieren? Kann es einfach nur ein Fehler sein?

I plan to take the ML and AI modules from Wahlmodule to gain the basics , because i think mixing hardware ,software , ML will be better . Is this possible? So I am an international student from India have passed my FSP and I have admits to Aachen, Darmstadt, Stuttgart, and TU Berlin for the same program. I have always envisioned coming to Berlin for my bachelors but now that it is here, I am super confused. That being said, I am looking for any and all experiences. Here is what I want to know:

1. How's the study organization for your course? On a level of 1-10, how would you rank the stress/difficulty level?

2. How is the social life? Especially for international and/or queer students?

3. How have you found it, jobs and internships-wise?

4. If you are studying Elektrotechnik, would you recommend it to someone else?

5. I know it's Berlin so it'll be quite inclusive but if you are a woman of color who is studying there, how is the city treating you?

Hello, I am looking at MSc programs in engineering in Germany, and I noticed that different programs have different credits for the master's thesis. Some programs have a master's thesis for 30 ECTS, and some (such as the thesis in TU Berlin's Global Production Engineering) are for 18 ECTS and so on. What are the differences in their structure and composition? Will they all enable me to pursue a PhD after MSc graduation? I know that the master's thesis has a required 'academic depth' and 'novelty'. Is this the case regardless of the number of ECTS? Has anyone here studied GPE at TUB?
