Arriving 3 days late for first year engineering

I’m coming from overseas and will be arriving a bit late (going to miss first week) is that ok?

You'll miss your professor's introductions and them going over the syllabus, so make sure to read over the syllabus for each of your classes carefully since you won't know which parts they emphasized. You might want to go to office hours as well just to introduce yourself (this is a good idea regardless of if you're late or not) and ask what you missed that they think is really relevant. If I remember correctly from last year, some professors did start lecturing and giving assignments the first day and pretty much all of them did so the first week (or within their first 2 lectures), but nothing really crazy that you wouldn't be able to catch up on through lecture slides uploaded on canvas and if you went to office hours. Of course, you can also ask the other people in your lectures for what you missed and all that. Overall, you'll be fine. You'll just have to teach yourself some stuff, but you'll manage, I believe in you. Good luck!!
