FAC obtaining when already holding an SGC

Just wondered if anyone would know. I'm currently an SGC holder and looking to get into FAC, are the waiting times shorter when applying for a coterminous rather than starting from scratch? Thanks.

Depends which force, I was told coterminous grants get unofficial priority as it's a twofer as far as their clearance stats go. I know mine was extremely quick compared to others under my force who were waiting for one or the other.

I hope this is the case for me! I've applied for a coterminous grant in July; I was hoping I'd be able to get out on the does before the end of the season.

not contemporaneous if you already hold one.

That depends. If you just apply for the FAC, then you are correct. However, if you do a coterminus grant of FAC and renewal of SGC, then yes, it would be.

However, I'm not sure if it would expedite the prosses, my initial thought was no, but the other poster stated it may well have an effect in at least their licencing department.

OP says they hold an SGC.

Yes, I can read.

You can still do a coterminus, grant of FAC and renewal of SGC, to bring them both in line
