First time FAC odd situation
Hi all,
I applied, along with my friend, for a first time grant FAC in early February this year. The application was literally two days apart. I haven't heard anything at all but my friend got a phone call in late June and they issued his licence end of July. We live in the same postcode and are under the MET police
Any ideas if this is worth chasing them or why it may be?
Many thanks

Lot of reasons this could be. Here are a few: 1. Although you have the same postcode, its possible you are across 2 different FEO's areas. And it's a sad fact of life that some FEO,'s work quicker than others. 2. If you live in a more remote area or somewhere further from the FEO, then they may be waiting for another application in your area to warrant the trip out of their way to see you. 3. If there is anything in your past that may need further investigation, this can include family as well, then that can delay things significantly. 4. Your friend may have just been lucky...

Very impressed you're MET and SE London. I am the same and had to wait 14mos of the interview. I think your experience is much more 'typical' than your friend's, but I cannot explain why there's a difference.

11 months and counting, yet to hear a peep from anyone SW London.
Although I’ve heard through others in the club, the membership secretary is usually contacted first to confirm your membership and shooting history prior to them contacting you.
Might want to check with your club sec to see if that’s happened.
To date mine hasn’t been 😭

His name's not Aaron Aaronson is it? Could explain it. Worth a chase either way
