These two being so close in ability level, imagine if they fought in a Turf War together or against each other (only if John got transferred to a school that could participate in one with Wellston).

There was this one fic where when they both used to be 7.0 when John transferred to Wellston, John could infact reliably copy and amp time manipulation . Then he pulled on Sera what she did to her mom and froze her in stopped time .

I'm pretty sure even in canon John is the fastest growing person we've ever seen

Oh yea John most definitely is the fastest person we ever seen grow in verse. Not just because of his high potential but because bro literally would push himself just to see how strong he could get. Even though he did messed up stuff that’s honestly the happiest we ever seen John and when he is hanging with Sera.

Bro grew from 7,0 to 7.5 in a few weeks by being angry 24x7 . Then he grew to 7.6 when he didn't have an ability . The Jane genes serving him extra well

He didn’t grow to 7.5 after the arlo event. It was just age progression over those two years of abstinence.

I don't think his ability would progress if he didn't train for more than an year since he was expelled

I don't really remember rn, it was an unfinished time travel fic where John never hid his ability and caused many butterfly effects across Wellston and in people's personalities. John copied and froze Sera when she demanded the cake from him in the cafeteria .

Considering John grew an entire point in just a few weeks, I’d say so. It doesn’t sound very impressive, but power levels are exponential. 7.5 to 7.6 would look completely insane to a mid-tier.

It's not even a week really .

The 7.5 to 7.6 upgrade was the strength enhancement that he couldn't do at Rowden when he got disabled but the next time he used his ability when Sera was nearly assassinated he could do it . So by all accounts his ability evolved while it was disabled

Nah but she had much more time than John and most likely wasn't a late bloomer so I still think it's John . But then again it's her genes he has so she must be a different kind of monster

If he could have a better TM, then he wouldn’t have an equal level. It’s really not hard to deduce.

John has better tm not because he's higher level but because he is equal to Sera in base and can then amplify to be better

Bro what😭 he can’t amp past his level. Once again, if he could amplify to a 7.2 as a 7.0, he would be a 7.2. Not a 7. The level is RIGHT in front of you

John wouldn’t be able to amp Sera’s 8.0 tm but he would be able to match her in skill because he is able to adapt to any fighting situation even against those stronger than him so I agree with you on that.
