Not completely unexpected because I am in Brittany, but still!

I'm from the US and have a couple questions (if you don't mind answering). Is the fact that there's only one large triangle instead of a bunch of little ones significant? Also, I was under the impression that displaying your country's or province's flag outside your house was not a common thing in much of Europe. How common is posting a flag outside in Brittany? Is it more common there than in other areas of France?

Also the fact that there is only one big Hermine (the triangle thingy) might be significant to the house owner. They are supposed to represent historical parishes of Brittany, so might be signifying attachment to that specific part of Brittany over the whole country

The stripes are for the traditional bishoprics (not parishes). The ermines are supposed to be "countless" (though modern representations usually have a 4-3-4 disposition)

A single, large ermine may have a signification, or it may just be because it's easier to represent (or understand) when made with slates on a roof. You'd have to ask the owner.

Way more common to have flag pride in Brittany. I've lived on several continents and my Gwen ha du was visible from outside every flat I've lived in
