It's consumable, just fine. If you want to drink good orxata just go to Alboraia and ask the locals where to drink the best. There is an orxateria just behind Lonja de la Seda that serves good orxata too.

It's a tourist trap because of the price, but the taste isn't too bad for being so touristy. Daniel has lowered his standards a lot and the horchatería in Plaza de la Reina seems more like a tourist trap to me, due to price and flavor.

Maestro Horchatero's Chufi is a pretty good supermarket's orxata, normal one is maybe too watered. But if you have only that option it's not a crime. If you are living in Valencia it's really meh, but if you are living abroad it's enough to activate nostalgia

The best horchata is from traditional horchaterias. Personally out of the ones you can find in supermarkets my favorite is Mercader.

Can definitely back this, but note that HISC isn't very widely available in the rest of Spain. I've been a huge horchata fan for all my life and finding about about Horchata Condensada changed my life hehe

I've seen it in many places, because it's the one that takes longer to spoil, the supermarket chain consum usually has it, and you can also buy it online.

I'm not sure if I hisc or Costa tastes better, but both are good for my out of season horchata  cravings.

Yeah, in Valencia you will definitely find it. I dont remember seeing them in Consums in Catalunya for example. I live in the Netherlands, so I just take 6 bottles of hisc home every time I go to la terreta.
