Not much of a trip report needed for this trail. Super popular and would be a great solo hike… you’re bound to run into someone eventually.

Nothing remarkable to report about the trail. Trail was snow free except for the last push to the ridge. This was done in early July so I’d imagine that could be different now. The switchbacks are still mind numbing. I’ve been to this zone more times than I can count. Lots of water sources along the way. Will have to return for castle towers/phyllis engine or a full circumnavigation of the lake soon.

Total time was just over 4 hours from rubble creek. I did trail run so expect a longer day, bring the 10 essential, leave a trip plan with someone at home, and leave no trace!!

I'm planning on doing this hike. I read that I need to reserve a parking spot and that the day you want to go, opens up 2 days prior?

Yes that’s correct. You need to get it through Bc parks. I recommend going to the website a few minutes before 07:00. They go quick

All photos taken with Pentax ESPIO 90MC on Kodak gold 200. Second time using film. Happy this camera works as its 30 Years old

I love my old-school camera. Getting harder to find someone to develop film, though.
