Decided to upgrade my laptop storage at work but had my tools in a switchboard. Luckily, the Rambler worked perfectly

add knife model here Alex repair only possible in Switzerland HQ, according to Victorinox USA

Sent my well-loved Alox Cadet in for a damaged blade and received an email telling me they were mailing it to Ibach for "extensive repairs" - including a phone number to call with questions. I was curious what they'd do in Switzerland and was told they had special tools for Alox knives there that weren't in the USA.

Upon receiving my knife back it had a new blade and what looks like a new rivet on the blade side (note it's a whole different color compared to the other two).

Does anyone know what kind of tool could remove the old rivet while causing such little damage to the soft Alox? Just curious, thanks 😊

lol I never thought I would use my champ to sew anything. but it honestly worked well it’s not pretty or anything but it worked rather well. I am still on the hunt for a belt sheath for the champ. I think a sheath for a wave would work but idk.

Companion S Alox with nail file / sd

Upvotes

Is it possible for the nail file / flathead screwdriver to be added to the Companion S Alox, or would this require an additional layer?

Victorinox's reluctance to produce a Rambler Alox has me contemplating similar alternatives.

This is my first cellidor version of the Wenger Pocket ToolChest MicroLite I have ever seen.

65mm competitor to the almighty Victorinox MidNight MiniChamp.

It also features the metallic cut out cross inlay instead of the plaque or painted models.

Instant EDC to complement my daily rotation larger SAK.

Dream SAK – any modders out there?

Dreaming of the perfect SAK to suit my needs but it doesn’t seem to exist. I’m looking for one of the following:

-A Yeoman with a wood saw and Plus scales

-An Explorer with a wood saw and Plus scales

-A Huntsman with a magnifying glass and Plus scales

-An outdoorsman without the fish scaling tool. (And Plus scales ofcourse)

Can anyone recommend any modders who can do this or point me in the right direction on what to do/where to look?

Thinking about buying my first SAK (help?)

Upvotes

(BLADELESS) for EDC use, I'd like to be able to carry it as a keychain too so don’t want anything bulky or loaded with unused tools.
The ALOX versions look so cool. The dream would be an "Alox Rambler"... (ik it has a blade)

ideally i'm looking for:

  • bottle opener
  • scissors
  • nail file
  • phillips

I’m torn between the Classic Jetsetter / Jetsetter@Work Alox I wish I could swap out the USB drive for a nail file and the Companion S Alox which unfortunately doesn’t include a nail file either.

Can I mod one of these to swap tools or should I just pick the one that’s closest and stick with it?

The Halloween Tinkers from Red Hill Cutlery were just too good this year! I normally pick one. I like them all, but I’m really enjoying the ghouls version on the far right.

I’ve become obsessed with the 84mm knives and my latest acquisition arrived to today, a Tourist.

I bought this off eBay and it’s in great condition. I believe it’s a pre 1985 and model 0.3602 - No keyring.

I’ll get it cleaned up and put it with my (growing) collection.

Compact and Spartan

I took the keyring off the Spartan, I like how simple it looks now. And on the other hand, now I'll test how easily I can lose it.

Huntsman Movenment in the scale

Hi, I suppose it's normal, but I wanted to know what people with more experience than me have to say. A few days ago, one of the scales started to get a little loose and move, right on the side where the tweezers fit. Is this normal? What do you recommend to fix it? I was thinking about a small drop of cyanoacrylate.
