Companion S Alox with nail file / sd

Is it possible for the nail file / flathead screwdriver to be added to the Companion S Alox, or would this require an additional layer?

Victorinox's reluctance to produce a Rambler Alox has me contemplating similar alternatives.

I commented this about 10min ago on another post asking basically the same thing. So ideally you’re looking for a 3-tool 58mm SAK

  1. ⁠combo Phillips with bottle opener (2 layers thick)
  2. ⁠scissors (2 layers thick)
  3. ⁠nail file with flat head (1 layer thick)

No way to arrange these without needing another 1-layer tool, hence the rambler. You could try and add a nail file elsewhere, but I really like the nail file and flat head on the rambler.

Also, and this is controversial because I own the thinnest possible SAK with pen and tweezers slots, but I actually find my slightly thicker (still very thin) rambler nicer to use.

Yeh I agree, the nail file/flat head from the rambler would be ideal.

Hopefully they can make a 58mm package opener, similar to the other new companion models.

Combo bottle opener / Phillips, Scissors, nail file / flathead, package opener - in Alox.

Personal opinion obviously, but I’d miss the scale tools. Especially my pen scales which is my most used by far.

What I really want is a 84m ALOX companion, to pair with a 58mm with the scale tools.

I wonder if there’s a 1-layer opener tool already available that could be swapped in for the knife?

One ‘easy’ option would be to grind down the knife to make it a package opener.

I can probably make a custom Alox SAK with whatever combo you wanted, but it would probably end up costing more than it’s worth.
