So confused

In the episode The Breakfast Bunch Tory shoots an arrow with her foot and Jade starts taunting her almost making her upset. Was there any deeper context to this scene, it’s so confusing to me it almost seems like nonsense. Why was Jade talking about her Dad and why did Tory get so upset? Any explanation? The scene was almost eerie as if it were alluding to something.

It was an attempt by Victorious to mirror a scene from the movie, but it kind of failed.

In the movie, Claire (Molly Ringwald) was showing a talent she had that no one would know about. It involved putting her lipstick in her bra and then painting here lips without using her hands. Then Bender clapped and laughed and asked her if her dad was proud, and she got offended.

You’d have to watch the movie to see the comparison. In that scene Tori was playing the Molly Ringwald character. There were other scenes where Tori was playing the John Bender character as well as Beck.

I guess in that scene Jade was also playing the John Bender character, who was the outlaw type in the original Breakfast Club movie

The movie on a whole was about the peer pressure the kids felt amount their various groups and also the pressure from wither overbearing parents or absent parents and how it effected them all.

My favorite scene in victorious was when then snuck to the lockers and got tacos and then sat around discussing who was a vegan. In the movie, they went to the lockers to get weed and then discussed who was or wasn’t a virgin. lol

This whole episode revolves around the movie The Breakfast Club. So you’re definitely going to not understand it or miss out if you’ve never seen that movie.
