Music switch?
On my bi-annual rewatch.... Jink episode, you know you know. I could of sworn the original song was Placebo Running up the hill but now its some piano version... Prime X Ray says its Voices of Pop... I know there are lots of covers but this wasnt the original backing version... well now im crying and confused

Ok, I have a very sure memory that it was running up the hill. I would check, but apparently at some point Amazon put Warehouse 13 under buy instead of free.

Its the same song, just a different version. I know for a fact it was Placebo because I made a Spotify play list and added it. Its now someone else's cover that just doesn't hit the way it used to. Still crying 😢

I don’t know if it’s different than before ad I’m on my first watch, but on prime in the us it’s currently a terrible version of that song hah

I just pulled up the Placebo version (10 years ago the YouTube video was released on their official channel) and comparing it to the Track and Field version, they are similar, but the Placebo version is off. Too electric, too harsh. The version in the show (episode released in 2011, so years before Placebo released a video for their version) was always softer.
Edit: Found an article from 2012, Placebo is not mentioned at all, but Track and Field is.

IMDb also credits Track and Field.Â

It's now Voices of Pop :-( guess licensing was up. Lacks the depth and punch of the original audio for that moment.

The original was definitely Running Up That Hill. Sometimes when a show hits a new distributor, they cant clear all the rights to the music (for whatever reason) and change it.

They kept the same song just by a different artist!

Fair enough. It's still possible that there were licensing issues for the Placebo version

It’s definitely running up that hill, I always thought it was by track and field though. Maybe it was placebo? Either way it’s such a fitting song

It was definitely track and field’s cover from the beginning. I have the song on iTunes which I got after S3 ended. The album art is literally Warehouse 13.

It was 100% running up that hill covered by placebo when I first watched it, which was in Amazon prime maybe 8 years ago?

The original is a Running up that Hill cover by Track and Field. For the longest time I thought it was the Placebo cover too until I was rewatching the episode (i own the DVDs) while listening to the placebo cover and discovered, while close, it's not the same. I believe the track and field cover can be found on YouTube under the warehouse 13 OST.

I was definitely shocked myself when i learned it wasn't the placebo cover! It had been in my Playlist for years at that point lol. I do listen to the track and field cover more now though to really get the feels

Thank you all for confirming I'm not crazy and they did infect switch what version of the song that was playing. It was originally Track and Field and now its another version on Amazon Prime.

It's always been the Track and Field Piano Cover of Running Up That Hill - Source: My W13 Stash is the original SyFy Broadcasts / hunting for the cover the day it aired and finding the artist name
