Help in Creating Pretty docs for WFRP
Greetings Imperial Citizens (and any other fair folk!),
I often write docs in Google Docs and wondered if anyone had any suggest templates or backgrounds to make the pages look a little more "Warhammer-y"? Not necessarily full-on Warhammer fonts, but any good fonts appreciated, plus any page background templates. to make the pages look a little more like the books.
Sigmar's blessings upon you!

I am not sure if it works for any book, but you can just copy the background from a PDF via highlithing it and right click/ctrl+c and then use it as a background.
As for font, I don't know what it's called and if you even can find it online.
Tho keep in mind that even tho you can copy the page design and/or font, they are still copyrighted property so you can't use them for any monetised material.

That is an really useful piece of knowledge that I lacked, till today. Ack the rights warning, but I am pretty sure I can find some copyright-free PDF to borrow from. Definitely helpful, many thanks.

Oddly, the fonts are pretty easy to get.
Caslon Antique for body text and Moria Citadel for headings.
You should be able to find some "Medieval parchment", "Medieval paper", "Vellum" or "human skin" textures for free out there, or you can just flood fill the page with "yellowish".
If you want to get seriously pretty using only free software, power up GIMP and create your docs as image files

Thank you, that is really useful. Annoyingly I cant use them in Google Docs, as the fonts need to be incorporated in the app. So I might need to consider alternatives - but thank you never the less!

Libre Caslon Display would be the Google Fonts equivalent of Caslon Antique.
There's no Google Font that's close to Moria Citadel, but Uncial Antique or Cinzel Decorative might fit the mood

Thanks! I had seen Libre Caslon, and it is near enough, though still playing. Hadnt found Uncial Antique, so will give that a shot!
To be honest, also considering the final product being World Anvil, and that can import fonts, but still tbd.

I use a free parchment texture I found online, lucida blackletter for the printed letters and a callygraphy font for signatures. Example

Thank for that, yes I think this is an option and some good parchments out there.

I suggest Canva and pictures of parchments and paper pieces.

I made this a while ago for Microsoft Word. It's in French but everything is there: fonts, layouts,... And it works quite well I think.
