News The passport bros are invading Warsaw

Now I understand better why each time me or my friends are out in the city we get approached by many guys, being approached more than 10 times in a single and at least once each time I'm in the center of Warsaw, my female friends get also approached, feeling anxiety now knowing that the guys sometimes film encounters, post them on youtube and also use them for training purposes, selling Warsaw as the eldorado for picking up traditional women and that women crave foreigners. So much deception for these poor guys calling them selves passport bros or daygamers, doing day game each in Warsaw by approaching many women around złote tarasy, marszałkowska, number of approaches matter for them because they believe if they approach 100 women ,1 or 2 will accept to sleep with them or date them. In my previous post the owner of their community reach me out in the comments and wanted an interview which I refused, because what we want is a safe Warsaw and we want to stop this public nuisance. They literally rank Warsaw as the number 1 city in the world to pick up and approach women, they even have a Telegram group where they share the experience of the women they have approached like animal trophy... sorry but this is too much for us and just gives me anxiety and to all Polish girls that have experienced that in Warsaw, please help to make this stop and raise awareness about the day game in Warsaw

Traveller's question Sightseeing runs in Warsaw

Upvotes

Hi all,

I'll be in Warsaw for the very first time in November and will attend a conference, means I won't have much time for sightseeing :-(

My plan is to get up earlier at around 5AM and then have some moderate runs of around an hour to visit the most interesting places of the city.

I'll have 5 days to do this.

My hotel will be close to Plac Konstytucji.

By any chance: Does anybody has recommendations for already-existing GPX files?

What are your suggestions?

Thank you so much :-)

Help needed Job opportunities after graduating from SGH

I just got admitted to SGH for a Master’s in Data Analytics. While looking through the alumni network, I noticed that most of the graduates landing jobs after the program seem to be native Polish students rather than internationals.

Do employers see SGH as mainly a Polish-centric school, or do international students also have good chances of landing a job after graduating from such a prestigious university?

Other NAWA – submitted two applications, will they consider the latest one?

Hi everyone, I applied for the NAWA program this year and ran into a small problem.

I first submitted my application on July 14, but I later realized I forgot to include the parental declaration (I’m underage). Since the system doesn’t allow edits, I submitted a new application on August 8 with the missing document attached. In the “additional comments” section, I explained the situation, added the ID of my first application, and asked them to disregard it. I also sent an email to NAWA admissions with the same explanation.

Has anyone been in a similar situation with NAWA? Do they usually just review the most recent (correct) application, or should I expect delays/issues because of the duplicate?

News I have been approached by more than 10 guys in Warsaw in 1 day! It gives me anxiety now...

I've seen many posts recently on Reddit regarding the so called daygamers and that they are all over Warsaw approaching girls... so I decided to share my experience. I'm a 24 years old girl, from Poland, I go often to my work place in the center of Warsaw, and usually when I'm around Złoty tarasy I get often approached by a guy or two, same approach always, they think I am cute or pretty and want to say hi, I always decline politely and refuse giving my IG or phone number and move on...sometimes I give them my IG so that they leave me alone and block them some time after... as it's creepy having guys randomly stopping you in the street and asking for your number and it's even not socially acceptable in Poland. But one day.... I've been approached by more than 10 guys, 11 to be more precise, 4 on my way to work and 7 on my way back, those guys are from various countries, the US, UK, Germany, India, Ukraine... I was surprised as they all approached in the same way and I'm just afraid that some might have filmed me as I found many videos later on Youtube where they are filming themselves approaching girls and record all the encounter. This gives me daily anxiety because I am afraid to end up one day on Youtube and I keep checking everyday... how can we stop this daygaming thing in Warsaw? Thanks!

Help needed Transferring to a Polish University for Architecture – Good Idea?

Hi everyone,

I’m a 3rd-year Architecture student at the moment, and I’ve been thinking about transferring to a Polish university to finish the rest of my degree.

I wanted to ask:

How is the transfer process in Poland? Is it complicated or manageable? Do you think it’s a good idea to transfer at this stage of my studies, or better to complete my degree where I am?

Any experiences or tips from those who transferred to Poland for Architecture would mean a lot.

Other Poland advice?

I’m interested in speaking with a Polish man or women to learn more about their culture and traditions. I find Europe fascinating, and in the long term, I’d love to see if I can connect with an affectionate European woman. If you’re Polish, feel free to comment below!

Traveller's question Mid week bad weather alternatives

Dzień dobry,

I'm visiting Warsaw for the 6th time and wanted to try out the night life for the first time.:)

My plan was to go to Bulwary in the evening but the weather is currently pretty bad. I searched the sub for recommendations on clubs/bars but majority of them is closed besides friday/saturday or there is no info online. Google maps only recommends strip bars...

Are clubs like Smolna open on weekdays? And where else can one go besides Bulwary?

Traveller's question AirBNB host, direct payment?

I tried getting a better price with an AirBNB host for a long term rental, and they told me I could pay in cash for a relatively large discount. I'm just wondering, how do I make sure that I don't screwed over? The person exists and they have a registered business, and they are seemingly managing multiple apartments, but the whole cash situation seems sketchy. How do I make sure they don't just go "what money?" after two days?

I’m a traveller and just stumbled across their concert at the Multimedialny Park Fontann. There were a lot of people here and so I’m curious how significant they are to Poland. Their music is really really banging. Many thanks for your insights!

As the title suggests, what are you supposed to do if someone else parks in your private spot in the underground garage of your apartment building? i imagine this is civil so Police cant help, is towing the car even legal even though per contract you are renting the spot and someone else i illegally withholding it from you?

what can be done other than leaving note and waiting?

Help needed Moving to Warsaw - Australian

Hi everyone,

I’m an Australian thinking to move to Warsaw soon with my Polish wife. I’ve worked in law enforcement back home, but I know that won’t really carry over to Poland, so I’m open to general administrative or office roles. I have Portuguese citizenship so hopefully that should make things a bit easier. love to hear from locals and expats about what the job market is like at the moment.

A few things I’m curious about: - Are there many English-only jobs in Warsaw, or are they quite competitive? - Which industries tend to hire English speakers? - How different is the work culture compared to Western countries?

I’d really appreciate any advice, personal experiences, or tips on making the move smoother. Thanks so much in advance!
