Life in Warsaw question Finding someone else parked in your underground parking spot
Hello,
As the title suggests, what are you supposed to do if someone else parks in your private spot in the underground garage of your apartment building? i imagine this is civil so Police cant help, is towing the car even legal even though per contract you are renting the spot and someone else i illegally withholding it from you?
what can be done other than leaving note and waiting?

If you have a rent contract stating your parking spot number, you can get the offender towed.

With straz miejska like mentioned from another comment or some private towing company?

It depends on the legal status of the parking. You can start with calling straż miejska.

You can try contacting the administrator of the garage first, if this does not work. I think you can have the car towed, straż miejska could help out in this matter. It would help if you know someone that can help you with Polish.

You can't tow a car that is not yours. SM can't help you in private property. Tow trucks would decline towing it without seeing the car registration.
Only option is to ask police for towing. They usually prefer to wait it out.

Cars get towed from private lots all the time, especially in shopping centers. I think the administrator can help, by telling SM the car is illegally parked.

People in my neighborhood post a picture of the car in the Facebook group and ask the owner to move it. Seems to work okay-ish from what I've seen (I don't own a car or a garage spot though)
