I've been in Poland for a while, and this is my fifth year in Warsaw. I always found the summer pleasant here, and the good weather despite low temperatures.

Hello. I’m looking for a hair salon that offers Japanese Hair Straightening. I know this procedure is sometimes called Thermal Straightening or Molecular Straightening. The result is permanently straight hair, except for new growth. Since my roots have grown out, my hair looks uneven - curly on top and straight on the bottom. Hello guys I got into Warsaw University of Technology but to get a final acceptance I need a recognition statement from NAWA. I submitted an application for it almost a month ago but I still haven’t gotten anything. It does say it can take up to 60 days but the thing is even if I applied the same time as I applied for the uni I still wouldn’t have gotten it on time. To further elaborate I mean that I applied to to the uni at the end of July so even if I submitted the application to NAWA then I still wouldn’t have gotten it by now. I submitted my application to NAWA on the 6th of August. I just don’t know what do since I spent a lot of effort into getting into this uni but im stuck because of a new law and an administrative delay. If someone could guide me or help me please let me know. Thank you!

Guys, please help. I got my conditional acceptance in warsaw university of technology, but then they emailed me whether I have submitted my application regarding the recognition statement of my highschool certificate. I submitted on August 20 2025 which they just informed me at that exact same day. Now, they told me that they couldn't possibly accept my application just because of this.

Please help me on this, is there other solutions for me to make them understand my situation? Or maybe have like an online class as I wait for my recognition statement? I have tried my best in studying for their placement test and passed, also, I immediately proceeded with the next steps for the admission as soon as I got the conditional acceptance from the uni.

I'm non-binary, white, and I believe visibly transgender or queer (can kind of pass as a woman if I put in the makeup and voice; daygamers usually leave me alone). I'm considering a very nice job in Warsaw but worried there won't be a strong queer network for me to rely on or just enjoy for social life. I'm involved in my local communities and would enjoy continuing activism wherever I end up next.

Looking for recommendations on a tutor or institute that can offer training for Polish B1 exam in November. I am looking for someone to start from the basics and go till B1 and then exam prep before November 15. My Polish is at zero level. I went to Polish classes start of the year but they were extremely slow paced. Every language institute I called is trying to sell me their regular classes l. I recently graduated from a Polish university (full-time studies) and I’m applying for a karta pobytu based on work. I submitted my application through a front office (Urząd Miasta / Urząd Gminy), and they gave me only a letter/confirmation that my documents were forwarded to the Urząd Wojewódzki.

I don’t have the stamp in my passport yet.

Has anyone here been in the same situation — a Polish university graduate, with only the Urząd Miasta / Urząd Gminy forwarding letter but no stamp yet? Were you able to start working, or did your HR require you to wait for the official stamp from the Urząd Wojewódzki?

Earlier today I went on the tram and immediately a man approached me with his phone and on google translate he had typed a message saying he was in Poland to find beautiful Polish women, the message was longer but that’s all I needed to read so I obviously went to the other end of the tram. I was curious about this because I live no where near Centrum and to my knowledge this is where they normally hangout to do this. So I think this one might have developed a new strategy of trying to pick people up on the tram. Makes sense, he can just sit down and new women are brought to him every stop. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a specific passport bro creator who’s come up with this strategy or is this one just creative?

I just discovered that after Chopin died, his heart was smuggled by his Sister out of France and into Warsaw, Poland, for it was his wish to be buried in his home country.

I was also told that his heart was sealed in an urn and immured in a pilar of Warsaw's Holy Cross Church.

What I wanted to know is if you'd be able to see the heart in a jar if you were to visit the Churchill. I saw some pictures online of his heart in a jar but was confused if it was authentic, since from my understanding the urn is sealed and enclosed in stone, with nothing but a sign plate to indicaste its presence.

So what is it? Is it an actually visually tangible heart exposed in the church's pillar, or is it rather a kind of memorial plate that points to its being immured there?
