Form check Just hit a pretty ugly 125kg C&J major things to focus on?
Going to AO2 series this next Friday and manage to hit this PR in my final heavy session before the meet. It was ugly but any general tips to keep in mind to try and make the next go round at it a bit easier? Also, apologies for all the yelling, I was doing all I could to stay balanced under the bar.

Programming Great resource for enthustiast and trainers
I have been creating a Google Sheet to program and track Weightlifting for quite a long time.
This sheet not only helps you identify potential weaknesses but also guides you in building your own program, tracking performance, viewing historical data, and checking various stats. The volume and intensity recommendations were developed with the help of Sergii Putsov.
I'm tired of information gatekeeping, and this is my way of giving back to the community. The template is fully customizable and packed with information, including two weeks of programming examples.
Some of the stats in the image might look weird at first, but they're based on current science and modern interpretations of classics like Prilepin's table.
Have fun with it and use it however you want for your own workouts. I honestly believe this is the best free tool out there for programming and tracking your progress.
Enjoy!

Fluff It’s a love/hate relationship
This weightlifting business is so… ugh! I’ve never known anything so frustratingly hard yet I can’t stop. I get punched in the mouth by this sport constantly and yet I just want to do it more each time. $&@:%#!!!
Nobody else in my life does anything like this so I don’t have people who would understand to vent to. I just had a rough training session and needed to vent to people who would understand.

Equipment Advice on cheap gym foods that are effective and ready to eat/easily prepared
I become homeless in February and been sleeping in my car since i signed up to my first gym about 3months ago as a means of showering and doing little weights for health reasons but I’ve become addicted
I love going gym I’ve had to force myself to stop going 6/7days aweek by not setting a alarm
I’m doing well considering my situation I’m gaining muscle and strength but as money gets tighter being able to eat enough calories carbs and protein is going to soon become a problem and I don’t want to be raiding shops for all their Huel drinks 😆
Currently I’m eating/drinking ready to eat chicken, tuna from cans, whole milk, oats, dark chocolate, raw eggs, pork sausage rolls and any fruits I can get my hands on that are cheap (couple junk foods for calories like donuts/biscuits but that’s it)
Feel I need more ideas of cheap foods that are good to go and can be prepared quickly without and equipment
Taste is not important idc if I don’t like it I just need foods that are really cheap and effective for nutrition and building/repairing muscle
Thank you for reading

Programming Free 8-week basics program for lifters who want more structure
form.typeform.comHey all,
I’ve shared a few posts here before, but I wanted to drop something that might help some of you out. I put together an 8-week “Basics of Weightlifting” program for beginners and intermediates who want more structure in their training.
The goal is to build consistency, sharpen technique, and work on explosiveness without feeling like every session has to be a grind. A lot of this is rooted in the coaching philosophy I learned from my first coach, Kris Kimura, and his coach Tommy Kono, and other's I've worked with like Max Aita. It’s the same framework I use with my own lifters.
If you’ve been looking for a clear plan to follow, fill this out and I'll send you the program with the next day.
And if you have questions about programming, technique, or how to tweak it for your situation, drop them here. I'd love to chat.

Equipment Snatches in Metcons?
Directed to the people who changed from normal lifters to lower heel height shoes, like the Metcons or even zero-drop shoes, to do snatches: Why exactly did you make the change? I thought the extra heel height makes the lifts easier, in terms of hitting the correct positions.

Programming Pain in knee near patellar tendon
17M, I’ve had this knee pain for a while hurts to put pressure on the knee in a certain angle and hurts when I walk up the stairs and when I extend the leg slowly, I was weightlifting pretty heavily for a while before like squatting a lot I think it put too much wear and tear on the tendon and it couldn’t keep up with my quad muscles (which were growing pretty decently) , so I stopped squatting for a while now and have noticed a lot of atrophy in the quad but not much difference in the knee pain. Was doing a lot more stretching and rolling out at first but still noticed pain, recently started doing some isometrics like a very deep lunge where my knee tracks a lot over my toes and it immediately feels better like I don’t have anymore pain at all lol it’s pretty weird but then it slowly comes back again like the next day so I’m confused on if I should just continue doing this or what if anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

Form check Snatch Form Check
Just started weightlifting recently, and after a few weeks of researching and practicing technique I tried to snatch for the first time with some added weight. I'm definitely happy that I can hit a decent depth overhead squat, but I need to improve a lot of things aside from that. What would you say are the major things I need to work on? Thanks!

Form check Scary 105kg clean
So I was going for a 105pr (102.5 was my previous) and almost broke my wrist. Came back and made the second attempt but with horrible form (with a rounded back). What is making me miss these lifts. I included a 100x3 I did prior to these attempts. Felt easy, and I was expecting an easy 105 and then that happened. It’s the first day of deload week and I’m hoping for a 110 at the end of the week. Feels heavy tho :(

Form check Back angle during squat
Hellou :)
Not a fellow weightlifter (yet) but i have noticed during my training that i am most drawn to the more complex movements (deadlifts, squats) and everything around a barbell really.
When i started looking into the correct squatting form i noticed that my mobility is prohibiting any meaningful depth when i try to stay upright. I've started working on my mobility - but i was also wondering about the correct form during a squat.
There are programs such as Starting Strength (Image one) that propose a more horizontal back angle during the squat. But then looking at weight lifters (using Klokov as image two), they tend to stay very upright.
Now i am confused which angle is the right one. So i'd love to hear your take on this :)
