Battle Caesar and his Ape Society (Planet of the Apes Reboot Trilogy) VS The Thing (John Carpenter, 1982).
Instead of crashing in Antarctica, the UFO carrying The Thing crash-lands deep within Muir Woods National Monument on a clear, starry night—not far from Caesar’s colony. By morning, The Thing emerges from the wreckage and begins assimilating the life around it. Sensing something is terribly wrong, Caesar rallies his ape society to confront and kill the looming threat. Both sides (Caesar and his apes, as well as The Thing) are bloodlusted.
- Round 1: The apes have no prior knowledge of The Thing.
- Round 2: The apes know what The Thing is and are given 24 hours of prep-time.
- Round 3: Same as Round 2, but this time Caesar is aided by humans who were close to him during the trilogy (family, friends or even enemies).
Who would likely win and why?

Even if Caesar and the apes know to use fire correctly, dropping the Thing in a forest gives it the auto win. It's just gonna assimilate everything.
The only reason Thing movie wasn't 15 minutes long was because it crash landed in Antarctica in the winter - probably the most biologically isolated location on Earth. That's not the Muir forest lol
