[Death Battle #2] Shang Tsung Vs Akuma

Round 1: Original Time line Tsung Vs Akuma(SF3)

Round 2: MK9 Vs Akuma(SF3)

Bonus: Gameplay Versions

As per rules they are both going for the kill, that means Akuma isn't holding back as usual.

With the recent complaints of Death Battle, I felt that we should go through most of their episodes and debate whether or not they're correct.
This also not just the fight, I want this to also be used to point out anything wrong or incorrect they said, for example: if they used an uncanon source, point that out so their are no misconseptions

They weren;t very clear on what they were considering canon, some versions of Akuma are Around moon-buster level, which should be more than enough to take down Shang Sung.

I've seen that, but in comparison to what he's done, that's a huge outlier. His best consistent feat, is approximately island busting. In the end of SF3 3rd strike, he jumped out from the bottom of the ocean and brought a submarine with him the other is busting an island with his super.

but did any of those actually challenge him? if there are a bunch of casual feats and one that's above the rest, why ignore it?

No, they didn't. Its super casual. That's one of the problems with Akuma, all of his feats are things he does quite casually.

Those things didn't challenge him.

oh, yeah, I didn;t mean that they did, sorry if I was vague there. I was saying that if casual feats are far below the highest feat, its no necessarily an outlier because nothing suggests he's weaker than that.

Also, all of his feats except for that one are in his base form. When he kicks the meteor, he transforms into Shin Akuma/True Akuma, which is why he had white hair.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the asteroid feat in Capcom Vs SNK and when he was buffed with the Orochi Power.

Nope, its in the UDON comics.
