Edit. Just wanted to point out I'm a complete hypocrite since I posted an obscure video game character and book character. I still plan on participating and will enjoy myself in the tourney even with an unknown team. Ignore my grumbles I'm just a butt hurt pleb

Eh, the best part is the fact that we see match ups we'd normally never see in a who would win post. Not everyone has the time to read volumes of books, buy a game or watch hours of anime that you might not even enjoy.

I think just about every character comes with a wiki page or respect thread, it's not like you have to experience the whole of the source canon before knowing what the character can do.

Yea but stories win in this tourney and if you can't write a good dialogue and descriptions using the actual characters you won't win. Also, not every wiki is good at explaining feats or power sets without being super vague about it; or the wiki just explains what happens in the plot which isn't helpful either. Your right though, you don't have to experience the whole thing about that character but it would be the best case scenario if you did.

Well in order to help you with Lan, he is an extremely skilled swordfighter with batman's personality (not intelligence).

If you go based on that you should arrive right about where Lan is.

Yes the wheel of time. He is a support character though and super two dimensional.

Yeah it helps with stealth. They always describe it as "it causes the eye to slide off of it"

To be fair, not many people have committed to the hardcore analysis posts round after round.

1 of my opponents from the last scramble did a mix of both and it was probably one of the best write ups i had seen in the tourney. I'll see if I can find it.
