That is untrue, the ending of the raindrop scene is when Vergil overpowers Dante in their sword clash and defeats him. Chapter 7 shows the overpowering scene, but not the raindrop deal. It literally retcons the supposed Raindrop scene, that's completely replaced with them running at each other for the clash.

Completely retcons? The rain drop scene is just showing what's going on before Vergil overpowering Dante. It is the event where they duke it out in the boss fight gameplay. The rain scene represents what happened when the player fought Vergil.

It does completely retcon it. The intro shows you "when" the scene is supposed to take place, Ch. 7 shows how the intro contradicts events.

How does ch7 contradict it then?

Intro's events: dozens of slashes then Vergil defeats Dante

Ch. 7: They start off at opposite sides, then they run at each othet, of slaahes, just the part where Vergil defeats Dante

I told you that the rain drop scene is what represents the boss fight and thus is what the boss fight technically is. The scene you quoted is when after the player beats Vergil.

No it isn't, there's more scenes prior to them running at each other. Dante shot at him and they talked to each other a bit IIRC. There's no room for the raindrop, sit is clearly shown where it is, but is replaced completely.

Ok that whole scene in the beginning was just a more condensed version of Dante and Vergil's fight. It is still there but some parts are cut like the talking.

It isn't there, the raindrop scene is completely removed.

I'm saying the intro is condensed version of what happened in the boss fight. And if you really want to show that it is retconned then take it up to Capcom and ask if that Intro is retconned.

I literally showed you it was retconned, you are just trying to make excuses to keep it in.

It is not in the main game, I'd love to take it as canon, but it isn't by Capcom themselves retconning it.

I told you the intro was the condensed version of things. It has things cut in place. The obvious clashing aka the raindrop scene in the intro signified player vs vergil in the boss fight.

The intro still adheres to the what happened in the boss fight it just missing some talking. There is no retcon.

If this scene is "cut", altars scenes, changes sequences of events, guess what: It isn't canon.

The one with all the talking, full sequence of events, and all that jazz is the canon one.

You're admitting it is different, yet claiming it is still valid. Why should I take the abridged version as fact, when there's canon one? Cause there's a feat that's good?
