Concept / Design Windows NT 4.0 Background 1080p Remake + a Windows NT 4.0 style Windows 11 background

Here's a remake of the famous WindowsNT4.0 wallpaper plus a windows 11 version of it. I never really grew up at the time when this OS came out but it really gives me nostalgia, to the point where i remade it lmao. dunno if yall can download the image just comment or something if yall want to use it and a download link (first time posting something on reddit i dunno what it's called). Thanks.

Very nice! Interestingly there actually was a full screen size Windows NT 4.0 wallpaper and Plus! theme in the NT 4.0 Resource kit with some other exclusive themes included as well if i remember correctly.

The background reminds me something. I really don't know why microsoft didn't change the nt kernel number of windows 11 from 10.0 (same as w10) to 11.0 or 10.1. If they can't change it to 11.0 because of compatibility, why 10.1 not? Kernel number used to change a little bit after each major update without losing compatibility, such as vista is 6.0, 7 is 6.1, 8 is 6.2 and 8.1 is 6.3. Probably the programmers who make windows are just lazy since most things can run on win 10 can also run well on win 11 or vice versa🤷‍♂️

It has nothing to do with comparability these days. Apps can tell windows what version they're expecting and windows windows will report that version to them internally and if an app doesn't tell windows, windows defaults to reporting itself as version 6.0

We had NT4.0 on our school PCs, this gives me flashbacks, but I like it

Windows 11 bootscreen are just boring. Black screen and a loading circle. Just remove with Microsoft Edge, or add (Chromium Technology) 😄

Prairie Wind is the GOAT of wallpapers and that's a hill I'm willing to die on. I still use it to this day.

You should've removed NT.
