General Question Would this constitute "tech support" and thus be forbidden here?(Question about how to handle kernel level anti-cheat software)

I scanned some of the recent posts here. Some of the posts sounded to me like the kind of thing that might be considered tech support, but apparently are not.

I'd appreciate any insight.

Is your computer broken, crashing, displaying errors, or so on, and are you looking for information including how to fix that? That would be tech support.

We allow questions here that don't involve any of that, so something about a kernel anti-cheat might not be tech support unless your post is like "Help my PC crashes when I play this anti cheat game!". Also, we try and keep things focused on Windows itself, so posts about 3rd party programs might be removed too.

Some posts fall into a grey area, so we do our best with trying to determine whether to allow the post or redirect the OP to post on /r/WindowsHelp or another subreddit instead. Likewise, we remove posts on /r/WindowsHelp that don't involve fixing things, so a post on there asking what the best MS Paint alternative is would be removed and should be asked here on /r/Windows instead.

Thank you very much. Should I post my question in this thread or make a new appropriately named thread?

You do not need to. I found your previous post, the one you crossposted from /r/techsupport, I have approved it so it is now visible to everyone.

I will have to consult the committee to obtain an opinion on whether I can answer that.
