They won't be going the extra mile anymore, either

2

u/Interesting-Month-56 Feb 17 '22

At least not making the extra inch

u/Playful-Principle494 Feb 16 '22

That truck is made of solid IRONY

20

Can your 16 foot trailer fit through a 15" 3' gap

The awnser would be no

15

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '22

Something about men and measurements..

13

u/flowersandpeas Feb 16 '22

Lots of times that happens bc the road crew added 6" of new paving without changing the signs & warnings.

4

u/patheos79 Feb 16 '22

that happen at a company i worked at with guys hauling towers for the windmills the messed up part is it was permitted by the state. but at the end of the day it is the drivers responsibility.

4

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '22

Yep, the driver is supposed to ordain when they're being lied to. They are also often liable if someone hits them even while stationary. Basically, did damage or injury occur and was there a truck within a 100yrds, blame them.

1

u/Mitrovarr Feb 17 '22

If the load is within 6" of height of the bridge, I don't think I'd want to push my luck. Surely you'd want some margin of error.

If nothing else I'd get my emergency flashers on and just barely nudge through and listen for any impact.

Well, not ALL the time.

11

u/Regulus242 Feb 16 '22

No, we have Wii Fit at home.

4

u/victoriaa- Feb 16 '22

When the “at home option” is finally the better option

9

u/damn-stupid-username Feb 16 '22

I feel a company rebranding might be in order

12

u/PahderShameen Feb 16 '22

It’s funny cuz he didnt

5

u/TysoPiccaso2 Feb 16 '22

thought it said we lit at first

1

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '22

Maybe that’s why they failed!

4

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '22

I think they should put the signs back a little further so crap like this stops happening. Too many over passes are being abused!

7

u/oblongcreator08 Feb 16 '22

The irony...

3

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '22

Apparently not

3

u/RpulyC Feb 16 '22

Bahaha the irony

3

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '22

15’3”*

*height indicated is for this bar only. Overpass is 14’6”

2

u/wantagh Feb 16 '22

It’s the exact opposite of me in the bedroom

2

u/CleanSeaPancake Feb 16 '22

They, in fact, do not.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '22

Good job finding the one place you don't fit 🤦

2

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '22

Oh do ya?

2

u/DemonStorms Feb 16 '22

Saw a truck get stuck under an overpass. Luckily all they had to do is let air out of the truck's tires to free it.

2

u/ManofGod1000 Feb 16 '22

Some of these posts write themselves, right?

2

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '22

This is an old repost, so OP maybe wrote the title.

This might shock you to learn that the UK, the country that invented the imperial uses the imperial system

1

u/Pitiful_Ship7304 Feb 16 '22

They shouldn’t have took the extra mile

1

u/drs1706 Feb 16 '22

Is that in York? Cause if it isn't, I've seen a Halfords wagon do it in York.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '22

1

u/Parlicoot Feb 16 '22

Also it was quite a while ago, back in 2014.

1

u/taifunzera Feb 16 '22

"We go the extra mile" I guess you didn't

1

u/Jay_in_DFW Feb 16 '22

Just take out a little air from the tires, it'll fit.

1

u/Bigwes09 Feb 16 '22

False advertising

1

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '22

Wii Fit?

1

u/Pennywise626 Feb 16 '22

Use more lube

1

u/hgfkg Feb 16 '22

Pull it out with a toilet plunger.

1

u/DabKitty420 Feb 16 '22

Maybe he thought his truck works like a cat does... If the head fits so does everything else... I mean with a slogan like "We Fit" I can see how you'd mistake that with the classic "If we fits, we sits" /s

1

u/ImmaSmokeThat Feb 16 '22

We does not

1

u/ConstantLurker69 Feb 16 '22

Nah, you're mistaking him for his cousin, Wii fit Plus.

1

u/pasernik Feb 16 '22

Either you fit or you need to go extra mile

1

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '22

Do you though?

1

u/sub3marathonman Feb 16 '22

If it doesn't fit, you must a tip.

1

u/Superman_720 Feb 16 '22

No you don't.

1

u/c-uteh Feb 16 '22

I swear this picture excisted before reddit even did

1

u/Superb_Raccoon Feb 16 '22

Baby got back.

1

u/phenyle Feb 17 '22

15 foot and still managed to get hit

1

u/Peterd1900 Feb 17 '22

Thats because a 16 foot trailer can not fit under a 15 foot bridge

1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '22

Isnt this apart of a website called 11' 8"

1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '22

Sometimes.

1

u/Tacoma__Crow Feb 17 '22

“We go the extra mile.”

Looks like they went a mile too far.

1

u/J2ThaR1st Feb 17 '22

Very fitting indeed…

1

u/Vampiregecko Feb 17 '22

Should have used more lube

1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '22
