Lots of times that happens bc the road crew added 6" of new paving without changing the signs & warnings.

that happen at a company i worked at with guys hauling towers for the windmills the messed up part is it was permitted by the state. but at the end of the day it is the drivers responsibility.

Yep, the driver is supposed to ordain when they're being lied to. They are also often liable if someone hits them even while stationary. Basically, did damage or injury occur and was there a truck within a 100yrds, blame them.

If the load is within 6" of height of the bridge, I don't think I'd want to push my luck. Surely you'd want some margin of error.
If nothing else I'd get my emergency flashers on and just barely nudge through and listen for any impact.

I think they should put the signs back a little further so crap like this stops happening. Too many over passes are being abused!

Saw a truck get stuck under an overpass. Luckily all they had to do is let air out of the truck's tires to free it.

Is that in York? Cause if it isn't, I've seen a Halfords wagon do it in York.

Maybe he thought his truck works like a cat does... If the head fits so does everything else... I mean with a slogan like "We Fit" I can see how you'd mistake that with the classic "If we fits, we sits" /s
